Bumps & Babes

Bumps & Babes is held at 10.00a.m. every Monday (during term time), for parents / carers with pre-school aged children.

We start by meeting in the Church where the children collect a musical instrument to play whilst searching for Pilchard the cat (who has been hidden somewhere in the Church). This is the followed by the lighting of a candle, a short bible story, colouring and some fun songs.

We then move to the main church hall, where the childern (and parents) can take part in craft activities or play with toys, whilst enjoying a drink, biscuit and a chat.

Come and join us. £1.50 per family

A Letter from Sue & Sue  –  7th July 2018

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have been looking at the new guidelines for keeping your data safely and have decided on the following:

We will no longer keep any data about you or your children; just a paper register of first names for you to tick when you arrive in Church. All the paper forms you may have filled in with addresses, telephone numbers etc. will be shredded in the Church office.

However, we still want to be able to let you know what is going on! We therefore invite you to look regularly at the Church website www.stmaryschurchrushden.org on the Bumps&Babes page and follow us on Facebook: St Marys Church Rushden. We will post all these letters on the website and will issue reminders on the FB page.

We have been asked to consider helping with a charity called Baby Basics. This charity provides a very basic baby pack for new parents who have nothing. Would donate your outgrown baby clothes (newborn or 0-3months) moses baskets, bedding and anything else you can think of please? Bring them to B&B and we will see they are delivered to the charity.

On Friday 13th July we are having a picnic in Hall Park for all the Rushden and Higham Church Toddler Groups. This will run 12. 30 – 2.00pm and there will be toys, parachute, songs and so on. (bring your own picnic)

On Monday 16th July it is the last B&B@C for the year. (Oh no!) We will be also having a picnic (provided by the Church this time) at 12.00. If it is nice weather we will eat in the Church grounds and it will be lovely, if not we will ‘picnic’ in the lower hall and it will still be lovely!

Monday 3rd September is The Big Toy Clean! Bring along your school age children too and we will wash and clean all the toys! Coffee and cake will keep us going 10-11.30 (no worship that day)

We start back proper on Monday 10th September.

Have a lovely summer break,

Love Sue & Sue
