East Northants CMS Evening—Thursday 19 OCT  There will be a CMS evening with CMS Regional Personnel Officer for Africa, Victoria Summers will be speaking following a Hot-Pot Supper In the Church Hall on Thursday 19 October at 7.00pm. Tickets (£7) available from Edna  357253

WHO LET THE DADS OUT? SATURDAY—21 September   This monthly event for dads, stepdads, grandads or male carers and their younger children [0-6 yrs] will be in the Church Hall from 9.30—12noon.  Children enjoy a range of toys including bouncy castle, sit-on cars, inflatable ball pool and large train set. Dad’s relax together over coffee and newspapers. Adults £3: children free! Just turn up!

BIRTHDAY CONGRATULATIONS – Congratulations to Derek Tansley and Shirley Tuke who celebrate their 90th birthdays and to Richard Denny on his 80th.

CHURCH OFFICE  The Church Office will be open this week Tuesday to Thursday from 10 to 12noon.  Please have all notices for next week’s bulletin at the Church Office by 10am on Thursday by placing in the letter box outside the office, phoning: 412235 or emailing: stmaryschurchoffice@btinternet.com.

SIDES PEOPLE and WELCOMERS   The 9.30am service is looking for more sides people and welcomers. If you feel you could help once a month or so, please see Steve Prior.

SHORT AND SWEET—SUNDAY 5 NOVEMBER— 2-3pm   This new initiative of worship for those with additional needs will begin 5 November and continue every Sunday afternoon with worship in church followed by refreshments and activities in the Church Hall.

PARISH DAY AWAY—SATURDAY 4 NOVEMBER 9.30—4.30pm   Jesus’ Kingdom: what’s our role?   We are looking forward to this day for St Mary’s to be challenged by Bishop Donald at Grendon Hall. Please let Lesley or Colin Rowland know if you are able to bring cake(s) along to the Parish Away Day! Many thanks.

MISSION QUIZ   Peter Chamberlain is selling the new Mission quiz: £1 for Mission funds.

QUIZ EVENING—SATURDAY 28 OCTOBER—7.30pm   The Annual Mission Quiz Evening will take place in St Mary’s Church Hall. Tickets £3.50 (including refreshments) are now available from Sue Eagles (311192) and Mission Committee members. Proceeds to Mission Funds.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT DAY —SATURDAY 25 NOVEMBER—9.30am-3.30pm   Booking forms for our Children’s Christmas Craft Day are now available from Lynne Prior. The day (for children from Reception to year 6) is £10 for the first child and £5 for each sibling attending.

For our Mission Partners: Langham Literature (LPUKI)  Thank God for the vision of John Stott to train and resource pastors and teachers in the Majority World. Pray for those leaders who continue to implement his vision, particularly John Libby, Chris Wright, Riad Kassis, Pieter Kwant, Mark Hunt and Paul Windsor.
